ALAIN GODON

Alain Godon was born in 1964 in Bourges, France. In 1986, he moved to the United Kingdom to earn his living as a pavement graffiti artist. He soon began a series of new works, which he referred to as "Childish Art ", experimenting with oil painting. Around the same time, Godon also started sculpting in bronze, using this medium as a means of expression for the way in which he views the world; he infuses his subject matter with a childish inspiration and through the eyes of his own particular and unique humor. In 2022, Godon created a new technique called QT (“Cutie”), involving three-dimensional artwork created with multiple layers of cut paper. Alain Godon has exhibited in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Aspen, Denver, Amsterdam, and Bali, as well as the 2001 French National Assembly.
